Getting Caught Up....Kind Of

First things first, I really need to get internet at home!  This going a week between posting pictures is for the birds!  I've slacked a bit on the daily pictures so I think I might be missing one or two days and I have a few on my phone that have to be transferred over as well.  But here you go!

Day 5 of 365

I can not express enough, how much I love my reusable shopping bags!  I think I have a total of 8 or 9 of them and it is the end of the world when I forget to take them to the grocery story with me.  I mean, come on, I can EASILY make one trip with all my purchases instead of 2 or 3 trips.  And I'm cutting down on plastic bags in the process.  That's what I call a win-win situation!

Day 7 of 365

I kind of have an addiction to The Body Shop.  I love everything about it; the natural smelling products, the fact that they are community fair trade and cruelty free, and just how awesome they are!  While this picture will give you a pretty good idea of my current supply, I realized after I took it, that I have another 4 or 5 items that should have been included!  Love love love.  As a matter of fact, both me and Mya go there so often that we are on a first name basis with one of the ladies that work there; Mya greets her with a huge hug and I'm friends with her on Facebook.  She's a great gal!  I'll have to get a pic of her sometime this year.  But if you're ever at Woodland Mall, go check out The Body Shop and ask for Erika.  She will treat you right!

Pictures 1-4 (and my thoughts on the flu virus)

Despite my growing fear of going out in public and coming into contact with the flu virus (EEK!!!), I am allowing myself an hour or two at Panera to enjoy a salad and partake in some wonderful people watching....Oh, and to update the blog.

Ok, I finally figured out how to load my pictures from my new camera onto the computer.  Thankfully it was MUCH MUCH EASIER that I had anticipated it would be.  So, hold onto your seats people, here are my first 4 days of pictures! I look forward to hearing your thoughts.

Day 1:  This picture was probably the easiest one for me to decide on.  One of my favorite things about the new year is being able to buy a new calendar.  You can see the two sharpie markers there too.  Pink is strictly for Mya's appointments, school activities, girl scouts, play dates, etc...you get the point I'm sure.  The plain old black one is for everything else.  I should really pick up a color that's a bit more fun and exciting.

Day 2:  Mya begged and begged to have ice cream before she went to bed because she wanted to crush up on of her candy canes and mix it in.  How could I say no to that?

Day 3:  Sleepover night!  These two put on one heck of a model shoot/fashion show for me.

Day 4:  My favorite picture so far!  We spend the afternoon at the Grand Rapids Public Museum and while both girls were all about having their pictures taken, I said something funny to them and caught them with some great genuine smiles.  Love it!

Sidenote:  Only 2 more days until school resume from Christmas break.  THANK GOD.  I love my child to pieces, but we have both been driving each other crazy!  And I know for a fact, that I'm not the only person in the United States that feels this way!  And besides that, I'm ready to get back into our crazy weekly schedule.

Just so you know that I'm here....

Please allow me to introduce myself, my name is Michelle and I am super excited about this blog!

Well, since becoming semi-addicted to various blogs over the past year, I've finally decided to create one of my own.  The main purpose of the blog at this time will be to feature the pictures I have taken for my 365 pictures project.  My GOAL is to take at least 1 picture a day, every day, all throughout 2013.  It has been an easy task so far, but today is only January 3.  But hey, I've been a rockstar so far!  And as soon as I can get my camera software uploaded onto my computer and then figure out how to share them on here, I'll be able to get this party started!

But as I go on throughout the year, I'm also going to use this forum to share segments of my day as a single mom of an almost 8-year old; things that I see going on in the world and of course, inappropriate things that make me laugh my ass off.  Be prepared my friends and followers, I have one heck of a twisted sense of humor and I LOVE IT!  I'm also delving into the world of cooking and baking more than I ever have in the past, so I'm pretty sure I'll be sharing some recipes and feedback of meals I've made that have, and have not turned out.  Basically, this blog is going to cover everything and anything you could possibly want to know (and probably somethings you don't want to know) about yours truly.  In the end, I hope that you can come here for a daily dose of laughter while you also enjoy my journey on this wild ride called life.

Take care my friends!
